Transposing by user or internal/external

Is there a way to enable/disable transcoding by user or if a user is remote or local?

 

I was watching a Envy Dvr recorded show and when I was trying to skip over commercials, it seems that I could only skip once and have you wait for the video to start playing before I could hit the skip button again.

 

When I turned off trancoding seemed to solve the issue. I should say that I'm using an XB 1 with Envy Theater locally.

 

I'm asking the question as I would probably still want to use transcoding if connecting remotely.

No but the app should already direct play whenever possible. So lets' look at why it didn't direct play in the first place. can you please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue? thanks !
