KingKoopa08 17 Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 I see in Version 3.2.70.0 we have the option for a custom user agent. Could someone explain to me how this functionality works? Thanks!
Luke 42077 Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 Hi, it's only something that you would use if you know that you need it. But it is available on the M3U tuner setup screen as well as the XMLTV setup screen. You enter a value and then that value will go into the User-Agent http header when downloading data.
KingKoopa08 17 Posted January 19, 2018 Author Posted January 19, 2018 I don't see it. If I have m3u's already configured. Would I have to delete the old ones first before it shows up?
Luke 42077 Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 are you sure that you have updated to the latest version of emby server?
Luke 42077 Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 is this over https? it might just be caching in the browser.
KingKoopa08 17 Posted January 19, 2018 Author Posted January 19, 2018 Thanks luke good call. It was caching but also just so you know if it was existing. I do have to remove the m3u's for me to edit them and get the header options. Was that intended?
Renfris 0 Posted December 7, 2018 Posted December 7, 2018 I am trying to add a local m3u list, but Emby SaySupply a custom user-agent http header, if necessary. How Can I get that?
Luke 42077 Posted December 7, 2018 Posted December 7, 2018 It's something you only add if you have a reason to.
crusher11 1101 Posted May 16, 2022 Posted May 16, 2022 Some channels seem to require a browser user-agent, is that what this is for? What would need to be set?
