kkorotev 12 Posted January 17, 2018 Posted January 17, 2018 Is there a way to control whether or not a TV show, with selected episodes recorded over the years, NOT be sorted into seasons? Example: I have 22 seasons (none complete) of AMERICAN EXPERIENCE. About 40 episodes. Once I click on the show, I'd rather go to a list/graph/thumbboard of all episodes by title and SKIP the middle step having to choose which season. Make sense? Kevin 2
Luke 42081 Posted January 17, 2018 Posted January 17, 2018 Hi, we don't currently have a setting for this but I think it's a good idea. Thanks !
hstamas 179 Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 I second this request! My wife collects Food Network programing and they run very short seasons so on some shows I have 18 seasons worth of thumbnails on screen. I would much rather, for shows like this to have a Kodi like, flattened view of a list of individual episodes. Thanks

Thanks There's a solution: - Create one or more "personal videos" type libraries (not "series" type libraries) with specific names (e. g."Food Network" or "American Experience") and add one or more folders created for this purpose. - In this/these folders, do not name episodes following the SxEx convention, but by their name or title, whatever you want. And if you want to keep some order, put a number before the name of the episode 1. AAAA; 2. AAAA. e.g. 1. Food Network, Strawberry tart, 2. Food Network, Chicken Marinade Saint-Louis etc.... 1
hstamas 179 Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 Definitely a solution to get just a list of videos. Thanks for the suggestion. Wouldnt you look all the metadata scrapping though using that method?

Wouldnt you look all the metadata scrapping though using that method? I don't think so, even if in the server settings you indicate "Download images and metadata from the Internet". But, if you record the images and metadata in the multimedia folders, a NFO will be created, and there you can manually modify it via the metadata manager. Edited January 19, 2018 by Davco

kkorotev 12 Posted January 19, 2018 Author Posted January 19, 2018 (edited) Making sure you have the correct IMDB/TVDB number in the "Info" area for the series/folder also helps. AND tick the box: "Lock this item to prevent future changes". Kevin Edited January 19, 2018 by kkorotev
