My movie folder works fine, but I spent all weekend trying to get ANY TV episodes to show up and couldn't do it.  Any Ideas?

Hi, have you tried running a library scan?

At every change and they're done instantaneously. ie: Not at all?

From (Capture 3) I can get to any of the folders (capture 4), but no where from there.

Is W:\ a mapped network drive?

No. It's a partition of an internal HD.

what folders are in the TV library?

Detectorists...I think, but as I can not see them.....????

Can you provide a screenshot of the folder structure or describe it in detail?

New wrinkle:

New wrinkle.  I click on the Detectorists folder from my home page and then choose : "Latest" from the top menu bar.  The bottom of the capture screen is most interesting...showing file names from a show I forgot I even loaded with thumbs from the Detectorists series?

"What folders did you add in emby library setup?"

I think I discovered at least 2 ways to do it, but as I did and tried so many things over the weekend, I can't answer your question.

Just click on the library in emby library setup and the library editor will show you that information.

Okay, that's the E: drive and your previous screen show showed the library pointing to W:.

If you want to use that structure, your best bet when setting up the library will be to add each of the organizational folders (e.g. "0-D") as folders for your TV library.  Can you try doing that and running a scan?

Here's the actual structure of my primary collection.  "T", ", "W" is another one.  I have tried adding each folder (no matter which HD source) as a separate entry AND have tried to enter the entire drive with subfolders.  Neither seemed to eork, but I am new here...being a PLEX defector.  Two structure snaps:5a5cf85f209ef_SubDirectory.jpg

Okay, there are a number of different physical structures involved here.  In that last one, it is going to be a problem because there is no parent folder containing all of the series folders and adding the root of the share will cause problems with the other (non series) items at that level.

I would suggest you grab all those series folders and move them under a single folder and then point a library to that one folder.

While it will take a bit of effort on your part. This structure will be problematic as EBR said.

There are a few different structures that will work, I find the best is TV-Shows\series\season# and if you have a lot of series to deal with add an additional layer, for me I chose 0-D, E-H and so on - If you choose this method that organizational folder (0-D for example) is the folder you will add to your library in Emby.

That make sense?

Yes.  I get it now, I think

My problem is that I came from another (PLEX) system and made some assumptions.  I will follow you suggestion and see what happens.  I'll get back to you.  Thanks very much for your $100/hr. tech support.

Happy to help - I think you will like it here!
