MnM007 0 Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Hi, I have been using Emby add for Kodi for some time now. All was working OK, however as my library started to grow I find that I need to find an alternative way for sync. I have 5 profiles on my kodi box. It normally logs a user out after 15m of inactivity. I have the fast plugin and use it. For one of the profile that access Kodi everyday this setup works fine. However the other 4 profiles will log in to Kodi every 3 to 4 months... sometimes even longer. The libraries sync is taking an awful amount of time for these profiles to the point where t is not really usable as it takes 50+ minutes to go through all the changes and updates. So I am looking at ways to enable users to login to kodi via ssh and then start a manual library sync. Then I can automate all this so all users will login everyday (via automation/scripting) and always have fresh synced libraries allowing them to watch rather than wait 50+ minutes before they can watch anything. I have found the kodi-send --host=XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX --action="LoadProfile(profilename)" I can ssh to my Kodi and get the above command however this does not start a library update (incremental) as it does on the user logs in to the Kodi itself. So I am trying to find out what command I need to issue after the kodi-send one to start the emby add on incremental scan. Or if you guys have another method of doing this please let me know.
Angelblue05 4132 Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 (edited) plugin://plugin.video.emby?mode=manualsync is the way to call a manual sync. But I don't know if it'll work? I expect if you log into the profile, then the fast sync should take priority. Set your fast sync retention date to unlimited (0) in the server plugin settings to avoid having the manual sync kick in. Or use Embycon on those other profiles.
