Multi-Version and split part videos?

I'm trying to figure out how to solve an issue I just ran into. I'm fixing all my movie folders now that multi-version has been added. I have both the theatrical and extended versions of the lord of the rings movies that I ripped from my blurays. The theatrical is one file, The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001).mkv. The extended edition was on two discs so they are The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) [Extended] Part 1.mkv and The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) [Extended] Part 2.mkv.  

 

I'm trying to move all the files in one folder but I can't seem to get them to show up as one with the multiversion drop down.

 

How should I name these to get them to work? I have tried:

 

The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001).mkv

The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) - Extended - Part 1.mkv

The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) - Extended - Part 2.mkv

 

The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) - Theatrical.mkv

The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) - Extended - Part 1.mkv

The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) - Extended - Part 2.mkv

 

The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001).mkv

The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)-part1 - Extended.mkv

The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)-part2 - Extended.mkv

 

 

The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) - Theatrical.mkv

The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)-part1 - Extended.mkv

The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)-part2 - Extended.mkv

 

....and many other variations. They always show up as 2 different movies in emby...

for starters these are not named correctly per our multi-part naming guidelines:

The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)-part1 - Extended.mkv

The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)-part2 - Extended.mkv

I would start by fixing up the multi-part naming and then see if that has any impact. thanks.

As I stated in my original post. I have tried every combination I can think of using the naming guide and it always ends up with the same result.. two movies listed instead of one with the multiversion drop down...

Don't worry about it.... i just used mkvtoolnix to merge the files
