chef 3810 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Is the IBN People folder now populated with Alphabetical sub folders (example: "ImagesByName\People\C\Chef")?
chef 3810 Posted March 13, 2014 Author Posted March 13, 2014 @ Something has happened to my Folder Structure, I now seem to have ended up with Multiple IBN folders (I suspect from my move from Metabrowser to MB3). I believe I accidentally wrote the wrong Drive Letter for my Image by name folder ( I used a custom IBN folder). What is the best coarse of action to merge these two together? The People folder will not match now. Please advise.
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 You should just be able to combine the two and point to the directory you keep. However if you have two people with the same name, they could overwrite each other. Not sure how the system handles this to tell you the truth.
chef 3810 Posted March 13, 2014 Author Posted March 13, 2014 @@Luke or @@ebr Okay this is strange. For some reason, the IBN People folder populated the first time and put everybody into Alphabetical folder structure. No images were showing in any client so I ran a IBN People Folder Refresh. But when I ran a IBN People folder refresh It started populating the old way. Now there is duplicate actors folders both inside an alphabetical datat base and then inside the Peoples folder. What did I do? I cut and pasted all the names back into the old Database structure (without Alphabetical folders) and ran a refresh again, this time the Alphabetical folder structure was left empty, and the regular structure was left and working in all the clients. What is the proper way to populate the IBN People folder now? Thanks, Ben
