Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 While trying to upgrade to 3.2.60, my entire library and configuration were deleted and settings would not save. This means I have to start from scratch again. Please send my Premiere Key by email.
ebr 16185 Posted January 13, 2018 Posted January 13, 2018 Hi. We need to get to the bottom of what happened because nothing in the update deletes anything. What probably happened is it got installed into a different user or folder. If you used the backup plugin, it will restore your Premiere key as well.
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted January 13, 2018 Author Posted January 13, 2018 (edited) I don't use the Backup plugin because it has never worked for me. I installed the new version of Emby Server using the Portable version. I copied the entire contents out my old Emby Server directory out into the location. I skipped System and System.old. I started the server. It ran a library scan. Everything was gone from the libraries. The definitions were there. The content was not. The only way to recover was to delete everything and start from scratch. It is too late to get to the bottom of what happened. I don't have time to sit around and wait for weeks while things get fixed. I have deleted everything and started rebuilding my libraries from scratch to prevent unnecessary metadata downloads and to make the system available with as little downtime as possible. All I need is my premiere key emailed to me to restore functionality. Edited January 13, 2018 by Koleckai Silvestri
ebr 16185 Posted January 13, 2018 Posted January 13, 2018 Yeah, I imagine that process would not work well . Just go to the "Emby Premiere" page in your dashboard and expand the "Forgot Key" section. Enter your email and the key will be sent to you.
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted January 14, 2018 Author Posted January 14, 2018 (edited) Shame that doesn't work anymore. I've been doing upgrades using similar methods for years. Never had any problems like this. Thanks for the reminder of the key request. Edited January 14, 2018 by Koleckai Silvestri
