have you run a scan?

do you have the real time monitor enabled for the movie library?

if that does not help you are going to need to provide a log file and details of what you did etc

No i don't have that option enabled to any library.

Last thing i did yesterday was adding the Ex-machina. it shows in the library if search for it. but it doesn't show in the latest movies.

Under library -> advanced, check your date added behavior. by default this is set to the date created timestamp of the video file.

What is the date created timestamp of this video file?

Hmmm. its really weird. i checked the movie in the metadata manger and the date added was somehow set to October 2017. i changed it to the right date and it showed in the latest movies.

in the library settings it set to use file creation date.

probably i should use time scanned to the library instead of file creation date.

You could do that. But to answer the "somehow" question. Check the date created timestamp of the file. Or if you added the file with a pre-existing nfo, maybe the nfo had an added value inside. If the nfo has an added value, that gets priority over everything, including the setting.
