glenllivet 0 Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 (edited) Hello,I built my library some days ago and there is something that I don't understand...Some TV episodes are correctly named and appear inside a season 'folder' in the library. The NFO seems to be correct. But then, some of them also appear outside the season folders, with the file name...Have a look at this screen capture:At first, I thought about naming conventions and folder structure, but it doesn't seem to be the problem because other series are named like this and don't have any issue. Luke 42080 Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 hi there @@glenllivet, can you please show us what the folder structure looks like for this series? thanks !
glenllivet 0 Posted January 13, 2018 Author Posted January 13, 2018 (edited) Some episodes are directly in the series folder:/video/TV Series/The Blacklist/ Some others (like the ones above) are in a subfolder: /video/TV Series/The Blacklist/The Blacklist S01E12 HDTV x264-LOL[ettv] At first, I thought it could be a problem, but some other series have the exact same folder structure and are correctly listed...Even some of the same show (like this one: /video/TV Series/The Blacklist/The Blacklist S02E01 HDTV x264-LOL[ettv] ) do not appear in the incorrect items. Happy2Play 9782 Posted January 13, 2018 Posted January 13, 2018 (edited) @@Luke Isn't this Github Issue 1225? Nested episodes have a couple topics, but aren't really supported. Edited January 13, 2018 by Happy2Play
Luke 42080 Posted January 13, 2018 Posted January 13, 2018 Did you add this series recently, or have you had it for a while?
glenllivet 0 Posted January 14, 2018 Author Posted January 14, 2018 I installed the server recently on a NAS, so I scanned all the files at the same time.I have the same issue with some series while some others with the same type of filenames and folder structure are fine.
glenllivet 0 Posted January 14, 2018 Author Posted January 14, 2018 @@Happy2PlayYou're right, it's the same issue.I imagine the easiest way would be to reorganise and rename all the faulty finlenames...It was like so because I only used Kodi library before and it managed these names well.
Luke 42080 Posted January 14, 2018 Posted January 14, 2018 Can we see a screenshot of the complete directory structure of this series? i'll have to setup something identical in order to get to the bottom of it. thanks.
glenllivet 0 Posted January 16, 2018 Author Posted January 16, 2018 @@LukeSorry for the delay, I've been offline for a while ;-)Here is the screenshot of this dir: /video/TV Series/The Blacklist/ There are a few more episodes (not enough space on the screen to show them all).As I said, I have the same error on other shows: And others with the same structure are okay:
Luke 42080 Posted January 16, 2018 Posted January 16, 2018 so in the blacklist, all the episodes are OK except for two of them? is that correct?
glenllivet 0 Posted January 17, 2018 Author Posted January 17, 2018 (edited) No, it's not.21 episodes are incorrect (see the screenshot below)As you can see, all the incorrect episodes are in subfolders... but not all of the episodes in subfolders are incorrect! (S01E02, S02E08, S02E09, etc. are correct).I really don't understand what could be the issue...Moreover, I noticed this morning that some episodes are listed several times inside Season 2 only (even S02e08, which is not appearing incorrectly on the main show page is listed three times inside Season 2 page ; S02E10 is listed twice, ...).EDIT : as far as these are concerned, I have a clue.Inside the episode folder, I found a subfolder containing a sample (e.g. 'the.blacklist.210.hdtv-lol.sample.mp4').I think the sample has been considered as an episode too because the duplicate entries disappeared when I earsed these. And episode 2x08 appeared three times because I realised that it had been downloaded twice under different names (+ the sample). glenllivet 0 Posted January 17, 2018 Author Posted January 17, 2018 I tried this:1)- move some episodes (S01E12 and S02E10) subfolders to a temp folder somewhere else- update metadata for the show--> As expected they are correctly removed from the library.- then I put them back in the show folder and updated metadata again--> They were incorrectly listed as they were before.2)- I erased the nfo files for these episodes and updated the metadata: nothing changes... but no new nfo is created inside the episode subfolder.3)- Moved the video and subtitles files to the main folder of this show, updated metadata --> As expected, everything is fine.In conclusion, I don't why some folders are well handled by the scan and other don't but it definitely seems that the issue comes from the folder structure/naming.
Luke 42080 Posted January 17, 2018 Posted January 17, 2018 for the episodes that are incorrect, check the values in the emby metadata editor. are the assigned season and episode numbers correct?
Happy2Play 9782 Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 (edited) Can restart Emby and Refresh the metadata on The Blacklist and post the server log. I haven't been able to reproduce this.. For Broadchurch, I bet "[torrentday] - " prefix makes it "unidentifiable". Test files where identified. Just my theory. Also what server version are you on? Edited January 18, 2018 by Happy2Play
glenllivet 0 Posted January 19, 2018 Author Posted January 19, 2018 (edited) I updated to version 3.2.70.0 and refreshed the metadata for the Blacklist. Here is the server log:https://bruga.000webhostapp.com/EmbyNetcore.html Edited January 19, 2018 by glenllivet
glenllivet 0 Posted January 19, 2018 Author Posted January 19, 2018 The same... ;-) (sorry I forgot to mention!)
Luke 42080 Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 I'm going to have to setup an identical directory structure in order to test this. Question - if you create a new series with similar folders, does the same thing happen? thanks.
