Image / Thumbnail wrong orientation

Hi,

There seems to be a couple of bugs regarding image orientation.

I have a jpeg image from an iPhone which is rotated correctly through windows explorer and also through Emby single image view, but when the same image is used as a thumbnail it is rotated 90 degrees wrong.

Second, CR2 files which all display correctly in explorer, display in Emby incorrectly depending on the initial camera orientation, e.g, if the original image is taken in portrait mode, Emby displays the CR2 file orientated 90 degrees to the right, both in thumbnails and in single view, actually in all view modes.

Thanks

Hi, welcome. Is this only happening in the iOS app? What about the web app? thanks !

Hello,

It's actually the Android App I've been using, but it also appears to have this issue on both Android and the Web App.

Can you define what you mean by this?

Also, can you zip up a cr2 sample image for testing? thanks.

Here is the gallery in poster list, but in thumbnail list the CR2 image is also rotated 90 degrees.

In explorer and photoshop the CR2 is correctly orientated.

And here is the CR2 image file in question.

Ok this is actually an issue in our image processing library. I already have an open ticket with them about this for dng files, so I just added additional information to it for cr2:

Thanks.
