Is there a way to know the speed of a video is streaming at to a device over your local network ?

hi @@ng4ever, if transcoding is occurring, then you can see the bitrate being used in the emby server dashboard.

 

If there is no transcoding occurring then it's streaming at the original bitrate of the media file. Please let us know if this helps. thanks.

It depends on exactly what you mean though.

 

If you want to know the bitrate of the content, then the items above will tell you.

 

If you actually want to know the speed at which data is flowing across your network, then you would need some sort of network monitoring tool for that.
