Unable to unlock app w/ Amazon Coins

I am using an Amazon Fire TV.  Fire TV Home Version 6.0.0.2-007.  Software Version: Fire OX 5.2.6.1

 

From inside the Emby app I selected the unlock app button.

Clicked both "UNLOCK APP" buttons.

I was presented with two options to buy.  Coins and cash.

I bought 500 coins.

The screen now says I have 500 coins.

But when I select the "Buy for 489 Coins", I'm directed to buy more coins.

 

What's up?  Bug?  Glitch?

 

I rebooted my device.

Uninstalled/Reinstalled the app.

 

Still unable to unlock app.

 

Any ideas?

Hi. I'm afraid I'm not sure.  All of that process is actually inside the Amazon app store (not our app).  Perhaps fire off a message to them and see what they say.

Argh!

After reading other general complaints about Amazon Coins, I suspect I don't have enough coins to cover the undisclosed tax which will be added to the 489 coins.

I'll retry tonight and report back.

That was the problem.

I chatted w/ Amazon and they comp'ed me enough coins to complete the transaction.

And then all went well when unlocking w/ coins.

 

That's the last time I'll ever buy coins.  Total BS.
