hermann1505 0 Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 Hi, I am using the 3.2.60.0 server on an Qnap TS-451U. All of a sudden, I assume during the third last update, my B&O beovsion 10-46 device is not in the device list anymore. I did not change anything. Really. I completetely removed emby and reinstalled. No change. There is a setting in the tv regarding the "digital media renderer". I set it to no or yes. No change. I restartetd the tv and emby many times, in different order. No change. All other devices are available in the list. I also can access the emby server directly from the tv. Can anyone help with this? Log.txt Thank you. Kind regards, Hermann
Luke 42077 Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 Hi there, since you have a 64-bit machine, would you like to try this package and compare? https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/51334-new-qnap-package-for-testing/ Thanks !
hermann1505 0 Posted January 8, 2018 Author Posted January 8, 2018 (edited) Hi Luke, thank you for your help. Unfortunately, this doesn't fix the issue. Kind regards, Hermann Edited January 8, 2018 by hermann1505
Luke 42077 Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 Can you provide a new log from this version of the server? thanks.
Luke 42077 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 so you're still able to browse from the TV OK but it just doesn't show up in emby for remote control? is that right?
Luke 42077 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 Can you try this. Start emby server. Then while Emby Server is running, then power on your TV and give it a minute or two. When the TV powers on it might send out blast messages that the server will pick up. Thanks.
hermann1505 0 Posted January 9, 2018 Author Posted January 9, 2018 Tried this several times, even unplugged the TV from power. The problem persists.
Luke 42077 Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 Yea it's just odd that there's no logging messages of any activity from the TV.
hermann1505 0 Posted January 10, 2018 Author Posted January 10, 2018 Oh, there is quite a lot activity: 2018-01-08 23:11:40.224 Info HttpServer: HTTP Response 200 to 192.168.1.175. Luke 42077 Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 No, those are requests that would come when browsing from the TV. In order for the remote control feature to work, the TV has to broadcast messages on the network saying that it supports that feature and that is what I don't see in your server log.
hermann1505 0 Posted January 10, 2018 Author Posted January 10, 2018 Ah, ok. Thank you for your assistance.
Luke 42077 Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 That's why I asked to turn off the TV and turn it back on, because many devices will send out their notification messages right after being turned on, and Emby will pick those up immediately. Additionally, Emby Server also periodically sends out search messages, which your devices can respond to, but I don't see that activity in the log either.
hermann1505 0 Posted May 20, 2018 Author Posted May 20, 2018 Hi Luke, today I found out that there is a bug in the new firmware of the Beovision 11. I try do downgrade to the previous version. Thank you for your help. Kind regards, Hermann
