Collection Icon - How long to generate

I installed the portable version of Emby with the goal of making a collection logo. I installed the latest emby beta portable version and created a collection of pictures but it is not generating a collection logo ... any suggestions?

I ran a library scan I also tried to stop and start the server.

Had a similair problem a while back. It took several library scans, at least two, maybe more but the composite logo was eventually created and replaced the generic one. Worth trying another library scan.

From the screenshot in first post I would suspect some image processing errors as there are broken images in screenshot.

What do you mean broken images? I put four images in there trying to make that as the collection image with the goal of moving it to my main server.

Sorry I was looking at the new icon Luke added and was thinking broken images, since you are displaying poster images in thumb placeholders.

Anyone want to post to their movies collection logo? I am just trying to fix mine don't really care what movies it shows just want it all to match.

This was what I was trying to fix somehow it never made my movie image right but all my others worked great. I would delete it and it seemed like Emby would just pick one random movie to fill the icon. Attached is what it looked like. I was trying to follow what I read on a different thread just making a new collection and waiting for it to populate.

All of mine get updated regularly (far as I can see) except for one I was trying to make, like you, specifically for the TuneIn plug-in. It just won't stick together images of a some radio station logos I put in a special library. Was going to try reinstalling Emby from the website to see if it would help but never got round to it, tried (I think) everything else though, and others have helped, but no joy.

Is there a way to manually make your own, maybe with a Photoshop template? I have some home videos that I'd like to make a nice collection image for. Same for my security cameras.

I've never had a problem with these dynamic images on a Synology build I've had for years but I recently rebuilt my emby server onto a Windows 2016 Server Core and it's been over a week now and still no dynamic images.

 

I thought maybe it was because I'm on Server Core but maybe it's something to do with new installs of 3.2.60?

 

Does anyone know where in the logs the creation process is?

Don't think its a 3.2.60 thing, was earlier than that. Am wondering if its something to do with Windows, Fall update maybe ?

 

Don't know where logs might be, though sometimes when I just go to the Home page in Chrome or whatever it seems like one of the My Media items will appear a bit late, so maybe its making a new one then and its just in the normal server log.
