Cant remove artists cached from image by name folder

I am having a bit of an annoying issue. 

When i originally scrapped my library i had a few music spelling mistakes, spacing mistakes or character mistakes. I later corrected these, the problem now is when i click on artists i see two entries. The old one with the spelling mistakes is cached and pointing to images by name. So i deleted this folder containing the cached xml and images, but the entry still remains....Now just without artwork or xml description. It wont remove it from my library.

 

For instance i had florence and the machine, later changed it to the proper florence + the machine spelling. Now when i click artists i have two entries, one is pointing to the image by name folder. So i deleted it in the image by name folder and the entry wont go away, i now have a blank entry with no description or artwork that says florence and the machine...

 

I should mention the entries only appear under the artist tab, they do not appear under album/artist tabs. I really just want to get rid of them. I wish their was a delete entry available in the web editor.

You changed the artist names where?

 

The items that show up in those views come from the metadata.  So, you would have to correct every reference to those artists in every song, album, etc.
