Jdiesel 1431 Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 And I'm about to rollout pfSense on an Intel n3050. But to my defense I only have a 25Mbps connection 1
Guest asrequested Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 I've got a 270 Mb/s, and I use most of it. If after the patch its struggling, I can always switch out. 1
Tur0k 148 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 (edited) Shouldn't need much as far as hardware. Like I said 2-8% on my i5 5200U. I have hardware accelerated encryption enabled with AES-NI support. 12% of 8GB RAM used. 5-20% increase isn't terrible to me. The only thing I would recommend is spend for the Intel NIC. I am planning on doing a quad NIC when I build my vmhost, then PFSENSE will be fully virtualized. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited January 9, 2018 by Tur0k
Guest asrequested Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 I'm hoping to build it, next month. I'll try the i5. You guys know know better than I do. 1
