jscoys 147 Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 Hello guys, I have this TV Shows for a while now: https://www.thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=81731&lid=17 Recently I decided to watch it and it was a big mess, episode titles did not match at all. It's not an Emby issue it's because there were a big reorganization on thetvdb, it's fine. So I reorganize everything, helped by the fact I kept the titles in filenames. It took long time but I did it! I asked for Emby to refresh Metadata and replace images. Everything came back, very nice! But I looked at the Season names and it kept the old naming (Geologie, Géographie...) and when I ask for a full metadata refresh it doesn't get the new season title that is now "Season 1, Season 2...). I tried deleting the season.nfo, but when I refresh it seems to take the title that is in library.db and recreate the .nfo. I have to go in the Emby UI and to edit info and then force to "Season 1". Any ideas?
jscoys 147 Posted January 5, 2018 Author Posted January 5, 2018 What do you mean? When I refresh it doesn't say anything. Just letting the previous title without refreshing it.
jscoys 147 Posted January 5, 2018 Author Posted January 5, 2018 Ok here is what I have: I changed manually the first and second season to test. I had recently the Season 18, 19 and 20 that I hadn't before, so in the case of a new season that is not already in library.db, it's created correctly.
Luke 42079 Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 We don't have any metadata source for season titles so that is why they didn't change.
Happy2Play 9781 Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 I suspect your language is set to "French" as those are translated names. Emby was changed awhile back to just show "Season #". If Refresh is not working you wlll have to delete the \Emby-Server\cache\tmdb-tv\39611 folder then do another Refresh.
jscoys 147 Posted January 5, 2018 Author Posted January 5, 2018 Hum ok I understand... could you do a fetcher for thetvdb that I can use as a primary in my Metadata updater for Seasons?
jscoys 147 Posted January 5, 2018 Author Posted January 5, 2018 I just checked and I have themoviedb on top of my fetcher, but it is unchecked... So it's supposed to put Season 1, Season 2... no?
jscoys 147 Posted January 5, 2018 Author Posted January 5, 2018 Or I can activate tmdb fetcher as the fetcher for seasons and correct on the website if you prefer...
Happy2Play 9781 Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 TMDB is the only site providing Season metadata. What shows in the Title field (edit info) of the ones that show names? Did you try to delete the cache folder I listed?
Luke 42079 Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 I believe we stopped reading the Tmdb season names due to complaints, so that is why your season titles aren't getting replaced.
jscoys 147 Posted January 5, 2018 Author Posted January 5, 2018 Unfortunately I flushed the cache and refresh but same old titles... could you check if it really stops reading from tmdb? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Happy2Play 9781 Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 Only other way may be remove the series, perform library scan, re-add series, perform library scan. 1
jscoys 147 Posted January 5, 2018 Author Posted January 5, 2018 Only other way may be remove the series, perform library scan, re-add series, perform library scan. Will try that! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
PenkethBoy 2068 Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 simpler way is just edit the season.nfo files / or use the metadata editor - saves on the rescan time i had a few season titles that were "wrong" which were historical (june/july 2017) - new ones appear to be added correctly now 1
jscoys 147 Posted January 6, 2018 Author Posted January 6, 2018 Only other way may be remove the series, perform library scan, re-add series, perform library scan. Thx very much guys! I did the suggestion from happy and as you can see everything back to normal! The only thing I did is to delete all nfo files between the two scan to be sure it won’t take the wrong content in it. Thx again! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
