Cover Art for Emby Theater Not All Displayed

Recommended Posts

I'm running Emby Theater for Window (from Windows Store) on a Windows 10 (Creator Update version) HTPC and my Emby Server 3.2.60 is running on a Windows Server.

When I launch "Emby Theater for Window", I click on "Movies" and then "All Movies".  I only see the first 2 rows of Cover Art displayed (see attached screenshot), all the other ones are blank. I've waited 20 minutes and they still remained blank.  Note: I have over 1,500 movies.

If I arrow down to the bottom of the list of movies and then arrow back up, all Cover Art for movies will be displayed except for the last two rows (see attached screenshot).

Now, if I click on a movie where the Cover Art is not being displayed, it will take me to the movie and the Cover Art is displayed there.  If I hit the "Back Button" to take me back to the list of movies, the Cover Art for that movie will be displayed.

Please note that I have 2 HTPCs running "Emby Theater for Window" (from Window Store) and I'm have similar experiences.

Note: I've upgraded the Emby Server and Cover Art app and restarted the Emby Server, but still no help.

Any help on resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

hi there, what happens if you uninstall the cover art plugin?

Posted

Luke, I've uninstalled Cover Art 4.0 plugin and restarted my Emby Server, but no improvement...the problem is still there.  Other ideas?  Thanks for your help.

Attached is the Emby Server Log

If there is a log file for "Emby Theater for Window" (from Windows Store), can you please tell me where I can find it?  Thank you

FYI, in this log you appear to still have cover art installed. can you try removing it again? thanks.

and if you restart the app, what does it look like now?

No change.  I still have the same experience that I reported on the original post.

I have this, in some of my libraries. When I scroll up and down a bit, they fill in. I'm using the desktop app, but I figure the UI functions the same.

And I don't use the cover art plugin.

Thanks for your response and confirming that I'm not the only user with this experience. I know scrolling up & down is a workaround, but I'm hoping we can get this resolved.

is that mouse scrolling?

No. I was using the keyboard, but it's the same thing if I use the scroll wheel

I am still seeing this issue as well.

I haven't been able to reproduce it but am continuing to test for it, thanks.

I had a line of covers missing in the desktop app, last night. Again, scrolling up and down a bit with the scroll wheel, they fill in.

Maybe it's only happening at certain resolutions + windows zoom modes?

Posted

I don't know.  For me it is only happening on Xbox.  The same as @@JulesC. It will load the first two rows or so and then nothing.  Scrolling or waiting has no effect on bringing up more posters.  Ember is having no problem at all displaying posters.

I'll clarify that I don't use the UWP version on my PC.  I use the desktop download and that is working fine.

Possibly. With a 4k 55" display, I'm at 250% scale.
