Emby addon help

I installed the Emby addon last night in to Kodi 17.6.  Once installed Emby gathered all the information on available titles from the Emby server for an hour or so and by that time my storage was getting nearly filled.  Kodi then crashed and I spent the next hour trying to clear the data the Emby downloaded and uninstall Emby from Kodi.  In the end I could never fully get rid of Emby and I wasn't able to remove all the data that it had downloaded, although the movie and TV titles aren't accessible anymore in Kodi it looks like the data is still storage on my box.

Does Emby need to download so much information in order to run?  I have Plex installed and have no issues quickly navigating around to access titles.  Is there a setting to change in order to stop Emby from downloading so much info?

What I'm trying to get is the same as to how Plexconnect works, I want to be able to access all my movies and shows through kodi's interface without having to run additional applications.

I don't have the server address though, so Embycon won't work for me.

To remove everything emby, you have to launch emby for kodi, then reset the local database, yes/yes/yes. Then you can uninstall the addon. The artwork is what takes up the most space. You could edit advancedsettings to reduce the size of artwork cached. Otherwise, you can also disable force artwork to cache, Kodi will do it on it's own, slowly over time. Do you have music on your server as well?

I have an invite to a server that I gain access to by logging in with emby connect.  But I don't have the IP and port of that server so I can't manually add it to embycon's addon.  Is there a way to add a USB thumbdrive to me box and direct the artwork to store on the thumbdrive?
