Protektor 12 Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 (edited) I just updated my Linux server to Emby 3.2.60.0 and it has some issues. One I noticed in the dashboard it doesn't check to tell me if I am running the latest version. Two after the update it took all my Blade Runner extras and made them movies. It also took my fan edit of Blade Runner and make it it's own movie as well. Directory structure is: Blade Runner (1982) Blade Runner (1982) [Final Cut] [1080p HEVC AAC].mkv Blade Runner (1982) [EE by ADM] [480p HEVC AAC,AAC,AAC].mkv behind the scenes Blade Runner Designing The Future Pt. 1.mp4 The Incredible Story Behind the Making of Blade Runner - IGN.mp4 Blade Runner Deleted Scene.mp4 BLADE RUNNER Deleted Scene-1.mp4 Blade Runner - Holden & Deckard in the hospital.mp4 Blade Runner Tyrell and Batty Deleted Scenes.mp4 extras featurettes Blade Runner Convention Reel (1982).mp4 Blade Runner - On the Edge of Blade Runner.mp4 Blade Runner The Other Side of Modernity.mp4 Retrospective Review Blade Runner (1982).mp4 interviews Blade Runner Making Pris.mp4 Harrison Ford On BLADE RUNNER.mp4 Rutger Hauer and Blade Runner - 30 years ago I saw the future.mp4 scenes Blade Runner 30th Anniversary Collector's Edition -- Benefit or a Hazard.mp4 Blade Runner 30th Anniversary Collector's Edition -- Deckard vs. Pris.mp4 Blade Runner 30th Anniversary Collector's Edition -- I Want More Life, Father.mp4 Blade Runner 30th Anniversary Collector's Edition -- Tears in the Rain.mp4 Blade Runner 30th Anniversary Collector's Edition -- Tortoise, What's That.mp4 Blade Runner - Original Scenes (Workprint 1990).mp4 shorts specials trailers Blade Runner 30th Anniversary Trailer.mp4 Blade Runner (1982) Official Trailer.mp4 Every one of those is listed as a movie instead of being under Blade Runner. Yet I have "28 Days Later (2002)" which has extras and it works fine. Edited January 3, 2018 by Protektor
Luke 42086 Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 For the version it sounds like a networking problem while checking for available updates. Does 28 days later have a similar structure to this?
Protektor 12 Posted January 3, 2018 Author Posted January 3, 2018 (edited) Yes it has the exact same structure, because I keep a list of empty folders that I copy in to the directory when a movie has extras. Here you can see what it is doing with "Blade Runner". https://gyazo.com/e16ae259f9eef6ce7d13f871efe17ed4 Here you can see it processed "28 Days Later" properly. https://gyazo.com/3383246bcce30acebf0100f602f9205e Interestingly it also processed "Blade Runner 2049" correctly as well. https://gyazo.com/9c46602121ff759a7e7f18ec14c38645?token=b78370969ce39fed14bc27d99c56f2a5 If you notice it didn't put the "Blade Runner Fan Edit" under Blade Runner but instead made it it's own movie entry. Luke 42086 Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 hi there @@Protektor, this has actually never been an officially supported naming convention according to our wiki on multi-version movies: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Movie%20naming#multi-version-movies Each version must begin with the folder name, followed by " - ". If this requirement is not met, they will be treated as separate videos. So based on this example, the primary two videos should be named something like: Blade Runner (1982) Blade Runner (1982) - final cut.mkv Blade Runner (1982) - ee by adm.mkv However I do think that what you're doing there in brackets is a reasonable thing to support so we'll look into that. In the current release though it's not officially supported. Thanks !
