cryzis 7 Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 (edited) I followed the wiki when creating multiple movie version. My understanding is that the client should default to the most compatible version. This example below is on the web client. The 4k version is not compatible and gives a playback error (transcoding is disabled). I am a bit confused by this feature, is it suppose to auto select the most compatible version? Side Note: The wiki states you have to keep the same name as the containing folder in the name of the file, this just creates repetition as I am seeing Avatar (2009) twice. Is there a way to only shot text after the dash? Version 3.2.60.5 beta Movies/Avatar (2009)/Avatar (2009) - 4k.mkv/Avatar (2009) - 1080p.mp4 Edited January 2, 2018 by cryzis
Luke 42089 Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 Hi, why do you feel the 4k version is not compatible?
cryzis 7 Posted January 2, 2018 Author Posted January 2, 2018 (edited) I didn't think the browser could play back this content. To verify I click play on that version and the browser gives me the error below. I would think the browser would have the compatible version selected by default. I understand if it doesn't just thought that was a big selling point of the feature. Other users might not understand that they need to switch to a compatible version.
