Playback Failure

When I first set this up I was experiencing perfect video playback, but the audio was choppy/broken up/slowed very consistently on whatever I watched. I’ve since signed in to Emby Connect, and since then have been experiencing a ‘Too many errors. Giving up” error.

In either configuration, playing from Chrome gives a “Playback Error
No compatible streams are currently available. Please try again later or contact your system administrator for details.” error.

How to proceed? I've seen similar posts where installing the new package is the solution but using the command on the download page gives me this message

cannot access archive: No such file or directory
Errors were encountered while processing:
 emby-server-deb_3.2.60.0_amd64.deb

Sorry. I included this the first time I posted but that failed and the second time I forgot!

I do notice a failure to start ffmpeg. you should verify that your ffmpeg build has execute rights:

/var/lib/emby-server/ffmpeg/20170308/ffmpeg

Also, I notice you have installed mono 5.4, but our highest supported version is 4.8.1. So there are multiple potential causes of problems here.

I realize this might sound like a headache, but if you check out the download page of our website:

https://emby.media/download.html

We have a new installation package with all dependencies self-contained so that you never have to worry about these things. It will make things much easier for you, but it is a brand new installation. Thanks.
