roberthleeii 61 Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 I have been having some problems with Emby over the past couple of weeks. I don't know if it is related but I will start with a problem with the Roku thumbnail plugin. I had to uninstall it about 2 or 3 weeks ago because on TV recordings it was only making images 3 images at the beginning of the recording and would no let me use the fast forward or rewind functions after those first few seconds. If I did it would reset me to that 3rd Roku thumbnail. After uninstalling it a couple of times and deleting all the .bif files a couple of times I just left it uninstalled and Emby worked fine. To add to the I don't know if this is relevant I have had an issue where one of my 3 tuners stays active even when emby was not using it after watching a live TV channel. The only way to get it active for use with another channel was to restart Emby. I have not had this issue during the main problem because I have stayed away from watching live tv, I have just been watching recordings and movies. Thinking everything was fine I left town. I then realized that my server was shutting down on its own randomly. I had to keep remoting in to my computer and manually starting the server again. I think this was when an update came out and I tried to install the update and restart the computer, shutdown, then turn on server, etc. and nothing seemed to work. Once the server was off I had to manually turn it on, even my auto start with windows did not work and every time that update was there and it installed it and asked me to restart. I decided to try and try to reinstall emby from the website. After downloading the setup file and running it I get an "Application Run - Security Warning" that says: "Your administrator has blocked this application because it potentially poses a security risk to your computer" (I have included an image of this message). I cannot get past this message and find a way to run it. I have tried to find my security setting and turn them down and try and tried running them as administrator, nothing I tried to do worked. I am attaching several log files. Several are probably not needed as they just show it restarting and trying to up date and restart, but I included all from the last day or two for any help in finding this issue. I have numbered them from the most recent to the oldest. I have thought of uninstalling Emby and trying to reinstalling it but with it giving me that message I don't want to get stuck with not having my server. I am actually thinking about reimaging my computer and just starting fresh hopeing the server backup pluging remembers my users and recording schedules... Thanks in advance for any help, Robert Lee 1.txt 2.txt 3.txt 4.txt 5.txt 6.txt 7.txt 8.txt 9.txt 10.txt 11.txt 12.txt 13.txt 14.txt 15.txt 16.txt 17.txt

roberthleeii 61 Posted January 1, 2018 Author Posted January 1, 2018 Hi, can you try this procedure here in the second post? https://superuser.com/questions/1252575/unable-to-install-clickonce-application-due-to-security-settings-windows-10 Thanks. Thanks! That seems to fix the issue. I installed the new version from the website and it worked, then I restarted the computers and Emby auto started.
