bigbee13 2 Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 The machine I had emby on was working fine I was just upgrading and changing windows 10 to 7,. I proceeded to Clean (erase) the hard drive using Hirens Boot CD. I then installed windows 7. Did all updates, installed all drivers installed chrome and then proceeded to attempt to install Emby. It seemed to install fine and even showed up under programs however there was nothing in the tray. When I clicked on nothing happened. When I would click on emby server dashboard, I will get local host refused to connect. I have checked firewall, I have uninstalled emby through the control panel uninstall programs. I am a premier member and have been satisfied. I am just at a loss. I can not get this to work and it has me crazy. Probably something simple however I can't figure this out for the life of me. I have attatced install log. any and all help will be appreciated. thanks server-install.log

That shouldn't have anything to do with ClickOnce settings since he said it was able to install successfully. @bigbee1 can you please check your windows event viewer for any possible crash events? Thanks !
bigbee13 2 Posted January 2, 2018 Author Posted January 2, 2018 thanks for the reply's. I got up this morning and had 89 updates for my windows install, did the updates and bam, it is now working just fine. Not sure what update fixed the issue but all is good now. Thanks again.
Solution Luke 42081 Posted January 2, 2018 Solution Posted January 2, 2018 Thanks for the feedback. Emby Server requires Windows 7 SP1 with windows updates fully up to date, so I think you were just missing a windows update. Thanks. 1
