seafoodplate 0 Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 I seem to have no luck getting good folder images or file names. At this point, I would just rather have the file names display on top of the standard folder icons.I have deleted images, turned off metadata, unchecked everything I can see, restarted the server, but images remain and bad titles remain. Suggestions? An example is School House Rocks for my kid thinking it is Full Metal Jacket?
Luke 42083 Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 Hi, what kind of library is this? Can you show us what the folder structure looks like? thanks !
seafoodplate 0 Posted January 1, 2018 Author Posted January 1, 2018 They are mixed media folder. I am not following the naming rules and structure. I deleted all my config file and setup everything again, unchecking the metadata from the start. At least for right now this gave me what I was looking for. Thanks
Luke 42083 Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 If everything is non-standard then yes that is probably the best option. We'd have to go over some specific examples in order to provide any further advice. Thanks.
seafoodplate 0 Posted January 3, 2018 Author Posted January 3, 2018 I really just want to use file and folder names. I do have another question. The web interface looks as I want now, it displays colored blocks with the folder or file name on top of them, making it very easy to navigate. I am also running Emby on a Fire Stick, and that interface does not match. It also has blocks but they are using what I am guessing is the default film reel icon and the file and folder names list at the top of the screen, not on top of the boxes.Any suggestions on making the Fire Stick display look more like the wen display?
Luke 42083 Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 sorry i'm having trouble visualizing this. are you referring to the top level folders?
ebr 16187 Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 If you don't want metadata, then I would use the "Home Videos" library type. However, why are you wishing to set it up this way? Is it primarily content that won't have internet metadata?
seafoodplate 0 Posted January 4, 2018 Author Posted January 4, 2018 Mainly because the movie data and even the titles it pulls do not match my files. If It cannot be 100 percent that I would just rather not have it. This is most likely due to my folder structure and file names, but I am not going back and renaming and sorting everything. I would rather just have a basic folder and file name structure. I may try that "Home Video" option is testing.
Luke 42083 Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 It sounds like that is your best bet. Thanks.
