Emby Server Questions

Hello everyone. First of all I would like to apologize for my english.

Anyway, I am currently a Plex user and am not satisfied with the performance he has. Today I use the plex cloud which is where I store my content in my google drive account and do not need more than one computer connected to access the media. Is it possible to do the same with the emby?

About transcoding, I'm having problems because I share my library with approximately 20 people and not everyone uses the same device, that is, it transcodes practically everything. How is this treated in emby? Transcoding is either demanded for the server or transcoded on each device. If it is on the server, is it possible to do some configuration to avoid this transcoding and to play directly?

About emby premiere, I saw that on the site it says there are 10 applications, do I need 1 signature for every 10 people I'm sharing my library with?

Thank you in advance for your attention.

Wow that's a lot... There's a Google drive plug in and although I don't use it, I think it's intended to do what you are looking to do. Content will direct play if the device is capable but remember there are a lot of factors involved. Upload speed, download speed, each individual devices capabilities, probably in your case concurrent users. For best results probably low bitrate stereo mp4 would be most universal and adding complexity to that likely results in fewer direct plays. For premiere it likely depends on the client's. You'll want premier for your server but clients likely have access to either the app they need for a one time charge or free depending on the application. I'm not a developer, just trying to help you along.

for test google drive option is only premiere users?

hi, we don't support cloud libraries at this time. the google drive plugin is only for syncing existing content to the cloud.

Yes we will always direct play whenever possible, and yes you can force this at the server level on a per-user basis if you so choose. For Emby Premiere, it is 15, not 10. Please let us know if this helps.

Click the extended plan options link. Thanks !

I was almost signing the emby, but it's not viable, I have more than 15 people who share my library. Thanks for the explanations. Who knows in the future may think of emby as my media center.
