James 31 Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 @@Luke Scrolling to the bottom of the server menu (dashboard) seems to cause chrome (standard distro v63) to hang temporarily (dims window etc). Neither edge or chrome canary seem to be affected. Any ideas?

Luke 42085 Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 Could be although that looks like the default light theme Thanks.
James 31 Posted December 30, 2017 Author Posted December 30, 2017 so I've started looking at the issue on my end. At first I thought t may be ipv6 related but the issues persisted over ipv4. what I have noticed is that chrome console for v63 vs canary v65 shows an additional error message chrome canary 65 dashboard.html:1 Uncaught (in promise) DOMException: Only secure origins are allowed (see: https://goo.gl/Y0ZkNV). Luke 42085 Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 That's OK, that message is benign. If you don't see it in Chrome Canary, then what about Chrome Beta?
James 31 Posted December 30, 2017 Author Posted December 30, 2017 ok did a fresh install of chrome beta v64 and the problem is affecting beta as well console log appstorage-localstorage.js?v=3.2.60.0:1 Uncaught (in promise) DOMException: Failed to execute 'open' on 'CacheStorage': Only secure origins are allowed (see: https://goo.gl/Y0ZkNV). at new MyStore (http://mediaserver.lan:8096/emby/web/bower_components/emby-apiclient/appstorage-localstorage.js?v=3.2.60.0:1:339) at http://mediaserver.lan:8096/emby/web/bower_components/emby-apiclient/appstorage-localstorage.js?v=3.2.60.0:1:914 at Object.execCb (http://mediaserver.lan:8096/emby/web/bower_components/alameda/alameda.js?v=3.2.60.0:1:14966) at defineModule (http://mediaserver.lan:8096/emby/web/bower_components/alameda/alameda.js?v=3.2.60.0:1:5403) at main (http://mediaserver.lan:8096/emby/web/bower_components/alameda/alameda.js?v=3.2.60.0:1:13293) at takeQueue (http://mediaserver.lan:8096/emby/web/bower_components/alameda/alameda.js?v=3.2.60.0:1:2799) at HTMLScriptElement.<anonymous> (http://mediaserver.lan:8096/emby/web/bower_components/alameda/alameda.js?v=3.2.60.0:1:9767) dashboard.html:1 Uncaught (in promise) DOMException: Only secure origins are allowed (see: https://goo.gl/Y0ZkNV). notifications.js?v=3.2.60.0:1 [Deprecation] The Notification API may no longer be used from insecure origins. James 31 Posted January 4, 2018 Author Posted January 4, 2018 another quick follow up. The problem can't be reproduced with keyboard / mouse, only touch scrolling. happens when kinetic scrolling hits the end. (up or down) this affects touch directly on the device ex. surface pro 4 as well as when interacting via touch over a remote RDP session.
Luke 42085 Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 Ok i can try this out on my tablets and smartphones. although granted i tested on them just about every day as it is anyway. thanks.
James 31 Posted January 4, 2018 Author Posted January 4, 2018 just tested ios 11.2.1 on iphone 8+. landscape mode kinetic scroll down (menu not content) followed by kinetic up hangs dashboard. ios 9.3.5 on an old ipad hangs as well (landscape + portrait view)
