siracacl 2 Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 (edited) Hi there, after my update to 3.2.60.0 on Windows 10, my TV shows' seasons are all over the place, to be more specific, emby doesn't sort the episodes in seasons anymore but just puts all episodes in a season named "NameSeasonUnknown". This happens on all devices I use, so it seems to be a server specific problem. Before the update this hasn't happened to me once. I hope someone might be able to help me, because googling for the past few days I haven't actually found a solution. Luke 42090 Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 @@siracacl, can you show us what the folder structure organization looks like for this tv series? thanks !
siracacl 2 Posted December 30, 2017 Author Posted December 30, 2017 (edited) For this one it would be "S:\Serien\American Dad\Staffel 001 (DE, EN)\Episode (001).mkv\" I already tried removing the library and adding it again. Unfortunately, that didn't help. Edited December 30, 2017 by siracacl
Happy2Play 9785 Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 I would suspect since that is a unusual naming scheme, they are unidentifiable to Emby when they are parsed and searched for at the providers. https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/TV%20naming#episode-naming-conventions

I see what you mean but it worked flawlessly in every emby version before. I'll have a go at the suggested naming scheme and report back.
siracacl 2 Posted December 30, 2017 Author Posted December 30, 2017 Ok. With the suggested naming scheme it worked flawlessly, BUT I wanted to find out, what specifically got emby confused, so I tried renaming the folders and episodes several times. I finally found out, that the leading zeros in the season folder name where the culprit. So now I am at "\American Dad\Staffel 1 (DE, EN)\Episode (001).mkv" and it works as it worked before. Really strange. BTW: Anyone got any suggestion for a renaming tool so I can rename my shows the way it's suggested?
PenkethBoy 2068 Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 look for "Bulk Rename" can do your files and folders has loads of features and it free
