hjason7812 34 Posted January 11, 2018 Author Posted January 11, 2018 listen all video's do the same exact thing. and it only happens on the ps4 pro version of the server. pc and amazon fire tv version however work fine. every since the latest update to the server ps4 sound has been screwed up.

Scott D 69 Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 While I don't use the PS4 version, in the Android version there is an option at the player level to adjust the volume. Example, on a phone you can control the volume of the audio using the audio buttons of the phone. Is it possible that the app, player or system volume has been lowered to the point of almost being off and you are over-riding it by increasing the volume of your 5.1 3,000 watt external sound system? Just a thought. 1
hjason7812 34 Posted January 11, 2018 Author Posted January 11, 2018 no the ps4 uses the browser for the app. there isn't a volume control in there. I've been after them for awhile to make an actual app for the ps4 because you can't even play music through the browser app version.
Luke 42078 Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 There doesn't need to be volume controls here because we just set it to the max internally and then you can use your regular TV or audio receiver remote control.
Scott D 69 Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 Wish I could help by trying on a PS4 myself, but don't have one. I asked my son about his gaming console and he is on an Xbox. But the questions he asked was, how is the volume on other programs or games? I can only relate by saying that on my computer I can have the system (windows) volume turned way down and compensate by turning the volume of my external speakers way up. I probably shouldn't put my 2 cents in when I have no way to confirm or test, but it seems logical. If all other apps/devices (non-ps4) are working with no problem, it must be something in that one device.

Scott D 69 Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 Have you tried installing the backup version of the server that is created during an update? If the problem goes away, then that points in one direction. If not, the rabbit hole gets deeper.
