Emby for Nvidia Shield

I am not sure if this is the right place for this question but here goes, the mods can move me if i am in the wrong spot.

 

Currently i have, Emby Server for WMC >Xbox360 > TV.  I want to add a Nvidia Shield to my theater TV so that i can stream from my Emby Server. What i would like to know is if i can add the Emby app to the Sheild and have it interface with my current server or do i  need to install a different version of Emby server. Alternatively would i be better off using Kodi with the Emby app instead since i need a working WOL  since my server is off when not in use. I am looking for the simplest functionaliy while contiueing to us Emby. Currently WMC on the Xbox wakes my server and i use Lights Out to turn off the server when nothing is streaming. I would like to keep this functionality while using the shield.

hi @@socketman, yes you can use the same emby server that you're currently using, and we do have an Emby app for the Shield. WOL is something that we're planning on adding to the app. Thanks.

Thanks Luke. For the sake of simplicity i really don't want or need to have too much stuff installed on my server. Its slimmed down for fast startup and i want to keep it that way so its good to know i can continue with Emby server and use your app with Kodi. Do you have a general timeline for the WOL implementation , i know these things take time so nothing specific.
