Live TV freezing on startup

Not sure if this is a server problem or an Android client problem.

I just started noticing this happening in the last week.  Not sure if it coincided with the upgrade to 3.2.60.0 or possibly an Android upgrade (Android client version shows 1.5.11g).

In the past when I would tune to a live TV channel using one of my Android TV boxes, it would normally transcode it, and the effect I would get is the video would start, then stop for a few seconds, then it would start again and play normally.  I assumed the pause happened when the transcoding started and Emby was building up a buffer before playing the channel.

Now what it does is the channel displays video, then pauses for a few seconds, then the video frame changes but it's stuck on a single frame (no audio).  I have found that if I use the "seek" control to seek forward, the channel will begin playing normally.  I have tried waiting for a long as 10 minutes, but without the "seek" the video never begins playing.

After the problem occurred, I shut down both the server and the Android client.  Then I booted the server, then then Android client.  Went back to the same channel and couldn't get it to mess up again.  However, the Emby Dashboard showed the Android box Direct Streaming, rather than transcoding.  Not sure why it decided it didn't need to transcode, but without the transcoding the problem did not occur.

In the logs I am attaching, look at the earliest server log, the problem occurred near the end of the log.  That's when I rebooted the server.  The next server log (after the reboot) picks up when I went back to the same channel.  The remux and transcode logs with timestamps of 5:40pm were generated in response to a recording that started at 5:30, so I don't think you need them, but I included them anyway.

I don't see any problems on the server side.  Looks like normal playback.

If you can get it to happen again, please send a log from the app.  Thanks.

Sorry Luke, brain fart  :)

Name of emby user on the local server:  Chuck

Attempting to play live TV channel (OTA) 26.1 on Android client.  Tuner used was HDHomeRun Connect.  Server Dashboard showed the server decided to transcode the stream.  The Android client tuned to the channel and after a few moments displayed a freeze frame of the channel.  No audio, like it was stuck in pause.  Server showed it was streaming to the Android device.  Waiting about 20 seconds, nothing happened, so I pressed the "seek forward" arrow on my remote control and the video started playing normally, although it started in a completely different place than the "freeze frame" that was originally shown (i.e. no buffering was observed).  Channel played normally for a couple of minutes, then I shut everything down to obtain logs.
