Rollback to the previous version of Emby Server?

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

First off, huge thanks to the Emby Team for their awesome work.

I've upgraded to version 3.2.60.0, however I'm having a few issues.

I'd like to roll back to the previous version for now, as I don't have any time these days to troubleshoot.

Does anyone know where I can grab the previous version of the server installer?

Even if I have to run thru a full-on uninstall, then an install of the previous version and rebuild my libraries, that'd be okay.

Thanks!

If anyone out there, the devs, anyone has a copy of the 3.2.36.0 installation file, please post it somewhere, it'd be greatly appreciated by some of us having issues with the latest version.

Typically I'd be all in on troubleshooting, sending logs, etc. but I just don't have time this week - I really, really need my old, working Emby Server back.

Thanks!

Hi, what issue are you having?

Hi Luke,

Thx much for the question.

I have a Library containing photos in .JPG and .PNG formats.

As of Emby Server 3.2.60.0, the photos in .PNG format no longer display.

It does not matter what the resolution, size, name, etc of the .PNG formatted photos, they just will not display.

For instance, I have two photos named ''Test-PNG.png'' and Test-JPG.png''.

Test-PNG.png is a resolution of 2121x1414 and a file size of 5.6 MB

Test-JPG.png is a resolution of 2121x1414 and a file size of 483 KB

Test-PNG.png is not viewable in any player (Emby Theater for XB1, Emby for XB1, Ember v4.5.292 for Win10, Web client (Chrome, FF, Edge on multiple computers).

Test-JPG.jpg is always viewable via any player.

FWIW, I can reproduce the issue with any pic formatted as .PNG, regardless of resolution, file size, etc.

The .PNG formatted pics appear as a black rectangle when viewed in the Library or when viewing the pic itself (screenshot attached).

Here's some more info:

Both pics are in a Folder named ''Test-Photos''.

The Folder is in a Library named ''Test-Photos''.

The Folder itself is shared out as \\servername\Test-Photos

The Library properties are:

Content Type: Home Videos and Pictures

Path: \\servername\Test-Photos

Enable Photos: Checked

Enable real time monitoring: Checked

Trust me when I say this, I have no reason to lie, this all worked normally before upgrading to 3.2.60.0.

Thanks!
