3.2.60 Emby for WMC is up to date

With Emby Server 3.2.60 installed Emby for WMC is no longer showing the reassuring popup message "Emby for WMC is up to date". Automatic updates are enabled, but is the client still polling for any new version of Emby for WMC at startup, or is that broken?

The earlier message "Welcome to Emby for WMC" still pops up from the bottom of the screen on starting the client.

Hi. I don't believe the server would have any impact on that. Can you see plugins in the catalog inside emc?

I have the Diamond Theme plugin installed, as well as Chocolate.

Yes, but if you navigate to the plugin catalog within EMC, do the plugins show up there?

If so, then everything is probably fine.

Yes, those two plugins show as Installed under Plug-ins under the Plug-ins section of the EMC Configuration settings.

What problem exactly are you experiencing?

With the Diamond Theme enabled there used to be a popup message "Emby for WMC is up to date" from the bottom of the screen a short while following the popup message "Welcome to Emby for WMC" which indicated that EMC was up to date. Presumably it is related to Automatic updates being enabled in the EMC Configuration settings.

Since installation of 3.2.60 The popup message "Emby for WMC is up to date" no longer appears.

ebr advises that if plugins show up in the plugin catalogue within EMC then "everything is probably fine", I think in response to my concern that EMC was still polling for updates automatically on startup.

Ok, I think you are probably fine. You can always attach an Emby for WMC log and we can review that for any issues. Thanks.

I am attaching a recent log file as I am not confident that I have the latest EMC installed. The log for this pc indicates that v3.0.307.0 is installed, but also mentions v3.0.304.0.

Grateful if you could please advise if EMC appears to be polling for any update version of the release candidate, not beta.

As indicated previously automatic updates are enabled in the EMC Configuration.

Hmmm.... does look like maybe there is an issue here with communications with the new server.  Can you please post the server log that goes with that EMC log?

Thanks.

Thank you. I have only one server log for 27-12-2017 which I have attached.

Edit: I see that the log, while dated 27-12, contains data for 26-12. It is however a log for the same setup as 27-12, so should be sufficient for your scrutiny. If necessary I can attach the log dated 28-12 which contains data for 27-12.

This should be working for you again now.

Yes it is, thank you. I don't see any change to the server version, nor did I observe any update to the WMC client.
