No sounds certain channels, certain commercials

I've been putting this post off for a while, but since the update to .50 or .60, certain channels do not play sound, and/or certain commercials do not play sound.  I reproduced this about 5 mins ago and submitted the logs from the app, user "bill".  First channel I tuned to  had no sound for anything, 2nd and 3rd had sound.  DId the test starting about 3:48pm eastern and sent the logs around 3:52pm.  On channels that have sound, certain commercials (but not all) have no sound. Live tv is set to live stream, dashboard shows direct play, connected via HDMI to an AVR from a Shield 2nd gen hardwired to the network.  I deleted logs prior to the test, so there is nothing to attach.  Lemme know.

I don't see anything unusual in the log but I only see two playback sessions.  There is only so much of the log we can see back in time so I'm probably looking at the 2nd and 3rd which you said worked fine.  Best if you can isolate individual problems so I'm sure we know what we're looking at.

 

Now, having said that, what you describe sounds like perhaps your channels are changing the format of the audio between the commercials and the main content. Based on how the player operates, I imagine it cannot handle that and, depending on what is playing when you start the channel, only one of the formats may work.  That is conjecture but we'd need to isolate the situation in a single playback to see if there is anything reported by the player.  Thanks.
