iOS app can't download files?

Hello, I've set up an Emby media server on my PC and bought an Emby Premiere account to follow. But my girlfriend uses an iPhone, and she can't download the media files for local access, only stream them. I've tried to download the same stuff on Android, and it seems to work fine. Are there any restrictions for the iOS app, and/or is this something that you guys are planning on working on in the future?

Yep - download isn't implemented yet on iOS.

Anyone have any information on when "soon" will be? I just switched the whole house to iPhones and iPads and am quite disappointed to discover this doesn't work.

 

I'm premier and use the sync extensively for flights (that I'm on multiple times a month).

A date hasn’t been announced for this. They are actively working on it but it hasn’t entered the beta testing as far as I’m aware.

From the beta testing thread - you can see that the various components to support this functionality are finally being included.

 

However I wouldn't assume that it's right round the corner at this stage - the feature has been under "active development" since 2015.

Thought you might like to know the beta testers are able to play their downloaded videos now. So this will be in the next release of the app.
