ebr 16181 Posted December 28, 2017 Posted December 28, 2017 Hi. Did you setup parental controls and perhaps enable Music in the "Block items with no or unrecognized ratings"? Most music has no rating information.
Luke 42078 Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 And the emby user has access to all libraries? Are you using the block with tags feature?
nankinodai 0 Posted January 3, 2018 Author Posted January 3, 2018 I'm just taking a shot in the dark since I dont' really understand the software, but since I can create another music directory whose contents appear in the library, I am guessing that the problem is a compatibility issue with the directory structure or content types in the directory. What do you think?
nankinodai 0 Posted January 3, 2018 Author Posted January 3, 2018 Woah! The library suddenly appeared. The only trigger I can see was that I plugged in my android phone to copy some files, and the phone's music library appeared under "Latest Music". Then the rest of the library appeared under the Artist etc. tabs. I'll post a log file if you're curious. Thanks for the help on this, glad it's working now.

nankinodai 0 Posted January 9, 2018 Author Posted January 9, 2018 So, the same problem is happening again. I've been ripping CDs as uncompressed files and putting those in a different library, which shows up just fine. I then removed the original library, and went through my files. For the most part it's now a 1-level folder structure, with each album in its own folder at the root level. There are a couple exceptions but it's a lot cleaner than before. I also removed all videos. When I re-add the folder as a new library, same problem as before. Log attached. Log (2).txt
Luke 42078 Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 What exactly do you mean by re-add the folder as a new library? what folder exactly? Thanks.
nankinodai 0 Posted January 10, 2018 Author Posted January 10, 2018 I removed the problem folder. Then added the Music folder as a new media folder.
