New setup. Folders scan finished. Library empty.

Media folders have all been added and scanned, and movies, home pics and home videos show up just fine. But the music library is empty. What to do?

I just saw that when I go to the Albums tab and push the play button, files begin to play. But there are still no files/folders/albums/anything visible in the library. Movies etc appear just fine.

Does the music have embedded tags/metadata?

 

What is your music folder structure?

The music has tags, mostly added by MediaMonkey.  The structure is mostly folders per album, but some artists with lots of albums have an artist folder with albums in subfolders.

Have you completed a full library scan? Are you sure the music is tagged with artists?

Yes, I watched the scan complete to 100%. I believe that all of my library is tagged with artists. At least 95% of it should be at any rate!

Hmm, I added supplied track in same structure and Adele appeared in Artist and Album Artist without any issue.

 

Can you post a log after selecting Refresh All on you Music library.

Refreshed metadata, disabled all Chrome plugins, and restarted machine. Still no dice.

 

On the library main page you can see that the music is showing up (attachment). But nothing on the music page.

Yes! Everything is there.

Update: When I create a new folder S:\Test, copy 1 album into it, and add it as a new music library, that album shows up just fine...
