Theodore 136 Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 First I will apologize if this is a little strange sounding as I have had a few drinks this evening, but I wanted to put this in while I was still thinking about it: I started a movie on the media PC from the web portal for my girlfriend and I this evening then switched over to my primary login. When I clicked on the "Play On" in the upper right and selected the main display it showed the currently playing movie in the progress bar at bottom, but it was from a library my primary login does not have authorization in the console to see. I clicked the link in the progress bar to see what would happen and it took me to the movie details page and showed the full information about what was playing. I realize this may be a hard one to figure out, but if a video from an unauthorized library is playing on the player selected for "Play On" it should not be taking that login to the details page for said video.
Luke 42079 Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 yea i get it, but where does it end after that. suppose that it's adult content with a questionable cover image and title. you need to be able to see those things in order to effectively remote control, so my suggestion instead is to adjust the remote control permissions so that this situation isn't allowed in the first place.

Fair enough, but how do I do that? If I have 3 media players running Theater, how do I allow a user to play to 1 (or 2) of those PCs but not the 3rd? How do I allow user "youngling" to play a video on PC1 and PC2 but not see what is playing on PC3?
Luke 42079 Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 It's just a tricky edge case here. you could use device access to block that user from pc3 altogether, although that might not be what you're looking for. but if you did that then he would not see pc3.
