roberth58 8 Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 1. What decides whether to create a a local thumb jpg or a link to tvdb? Auto organize just moved the 2 latest episodes of travellers, s02e11 has a link to tvdb in the nfo file and s02e12 has a link to the local thumb jpg. 2. Anybody had auto organize try and delete a completely different episode that it thinks is a duplicate. I tried to auto organize this old house s01e06. Auto organize turned blue stating its a duplicate, its not, when I click on the file to move it it says its going to overwrite the nonexistent copy of s01e06 and delete the duplicate episode s34e21. 3. Is there any chance that auto organize will ever recognize subtitle files? thanks
Luke 42080 Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 For #1, it has nothing to do with auto-organize. Auto-organize simply copies the file to the destination folder, and then the normal library scanning process takes over from there.
Luke 42080 Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 For #2, we'd have to look at the server log of an example.
Luke 42080 Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 For #3, auto-organize is a community addition, and contributions are welcome and encouraged. the source code for the plugin can be found here: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.AutoOrganize Thanks !

Why do I sometimes get local jpgs and other times a link to tvdb. Stopping organization For #3, auto-organize is a community addition, and contributions are welcome and encouraged. the source code for the plugin can be found here: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.AutoOrganize Thanks ! Not much of an answer. Remember, not everyone is a programmer that can fix broken software. Since I initially got my server setup most of my interaction with Emby has been with the auto organize addon. On a daily basis at the minimum. In all the time I have been using Emby my only problems have been with auto organize. I think it makes Emby look bad because not everybody will get the "community addition" reasoning. Maybe it would be best to take it back or make it very clear that it is basically a freeware program that may or not work and its out of your control.
Luke 42080 Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 For the images we'd have to look at an example along with the complete emby server log.
Luke 42080 Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 As far as those deletions go, the episode numbers of those other files may have been parsed incorrectly due to the numbers in the file name. I'll see if we can handle that file name but that is a tough one. I understand your concern but auto organize is not the focus of emby server. It is really nice to be a fun addition that is community built and supported, just like many of our other plugins.
