Change of Server executable and folder name?

I noticed recently (as some custom scripts I have stopped working) that the folder name and executable for Emby Server on Windows have changed.

 

Am I right in thinking that the main server exe is now:

 

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system\EmbyServer.exe

 

and the process is just: EmbyServer

 

Also, is there a way to start the tray icon without restarting the server? I have seen recently that the server process will stay running but the icon disappears.

Yes, this was changed a couple months ago. Just use EmbyServer.exe exactly the same way as you were using the previous one. Thanks.

No it is bound to the server.

If you are having issues with the icon closing on it's own, then let's look into that. Is that actually happening?

Yes the icon kept closing and the server exe crashing with odd sqllite errors.

 

Mostly when the "scan media library" task ran.

 

This was the reason I renamed the library.db.

 

Seems better now although restoring user play states seems to not take effect for some reason.

 

I've attached the log from the restore and cannto see why the play states are not taking effect. Any ideas?

I thought you couldn't make users with Spaces in the name, or at least restore them.

The username has full stops as spaces.

To be honest I even tried to create a new user called temp and restore the play states from that but that didn't work either.

Has a initial Library scan finished?

Yes it took nearly 5 hours so I left it overnight.

Just been through the other 5 users and they all had their play states restored.

 

This has happened twice now and I wonder if the user name is the issue as both times it was this user that had a problem.

 

I've now recreated the play states for this user manually but it would be good to know why this happens so if it happens again I know the backups that the plugin is taking is actually usuable.
