emme1967e 0 Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 (edited) Hi all, I have been playing with Emby in the last month with just few files to test it. Yesterday I decided to install it on my home system (OMV v3, Kodi v17, 1200 movies) All my movies have an .nfo file with a link to the themoviedb.org movie information. I have disabled DLNA as this was suggested by a user in another post. I have found three problems: 1) the log is full of errors. One new error every 60 seconds. (log attached) 2) some movies do not have the metadata nor the thumbnail 3) it took a very long time to scan the whole library (more than 12 hours) while with kodi it takes 20-30 minutes Please find attached the log. The most important probelm to solve are the log errors. Can someone help me solving the problem? server-63649238400.7z Edited December 19, 2017 by emme1967e
Luke 42078 Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 Hi, try disabling the dlna play to feature and then restart emby server. see if that helps. thanks.
emme1967e 0 Posted December 19, 2017 Author Posted December 19, 2017 Another problem: I have installed EMBY in my OMV server. This server has been running for months without any problem. Since the installation of Emby, it crashed three times in the last 24 hours. Never happened. There is something wrong. Attached is the full log. emme1967e 0 Posted December 19, 2017 Author Posted December 19, 2017 Hi, try disabling the dlna play to feature and then restart emby server. see if that helps. thanks. Hi Luke, as mentioned in the first post, the I had already disabled the DLNA.
Luke 42078 Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 it doesn't appear the play to feature has been disabled. try restarting the server. thanks.
emme1967e 0 Posted December 19, 2017 Author Posted December 19, 2017 it doesn't appear the play to feature has been disabled. try restarting the server. thanks. Hi Luke, this morning before sending the log, I had switched off the DLNA. Probably the setting in the server page did not switched off the actual feature. Anyway, I restarted the server (actually it restared because it crashed) and the DLNA error disappeared. Now, I am more concerned about the server crashes, as my OMV is the home server used by the whole family. Please have a look at the above post for the log. Adding more details: when it crashed I was refreshing the web page showing the libraries entries or just clicking the libraries in the web interface. Suddendly a circle appeared in the middle of the page and the server was gone. No response, no SSH, no FTP. Needed to restart manually. Any idea?
Luke 42078 Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 I see several cases in this log where you're letting the library scan run, the cancelling after a few minutes, then running again, cancelling again, etc. I would suggest just running the library scan and allowing it to finish. Subsequent library scans after that should be much faster. So my suggestion would be to complete a library scan, restart the server, and then see if that helps with the crashing.

Hi Luke, thanks for your reply. I haven't cancelled the scan after starting it. (I am not even sure how it can be done). Anyway. Yesterday I finished scanning everything and will let it still. There are some other minor issue that I haven't been able to do, but I ill open another post for them.
