Certain options missing when Emby installed as service

Hi All,

 

New Emby convert (from Plex) here. I'm currently trying out Emby after Plex's authentication api outage yesterday. The fact that with Plex I have to rely on the internet for a local media server is ridiculous. Hence why I'm likely switching to Emby.

 

I'm really loving Emby so far, but one thing that I've noticed is that if I install Emby as a service (using nssm), the options to configure automatic updates is completely missing from the admin panel. Any idea why this is?

Hi, welcome. It's missing because when running as a service there is no automatic restart. The server dashboard will still notify you of updates though. Thanks !

Someone made a scheduled task/script that stops the service, updates, and restarts the service.
