ossii 2 Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 (edited) Not sure if I changed something or something changed in code recently, but now I get the actual media file but also the sample which reside in a subdir scanned in to the library. Dirs look like Something.Here.x264-BLA/something.here.x264.mkv Something.Here.x264-BLA/Sample/sample-something.here.x264.mkv Previously the sample dir was disregarded, but as mentioned now in tv shows it shows for example episode 1 two times, once as a 50min actual episode and once as a 1min episode (the sample). In movies library, the sample either shows as a 1min movie with same title as main, or in many cases parsed as a movie called Sample People or so. Any way to fix this, without touching the media.. I noticed this as well in a recent library scan. I don't have nested sample folders like you, but it definitely picked up some .sample files (which I didn't know were even in my library previously, and subsequently deleted).
Luke 42085 Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Can you show examples of exact file names and folders? thanks.
ossii 2 Posted December 17, 2017 Author Posted December 17, 2017 Wish I could pinpoint more accurately when this started as well, but I'm guessing its a change within the past ~3months or so. TV example: Outlander.S03E01.1080p.WEB.H264-STRiFE/outlander.s03e01.1080p.web.h264-strife.mkv Outlander.S03E01.1080p.WEB.H264-STRiFE/Sample/sample-outlander.s03e01.1080p.web.h264-strife.mkv This becomes Season 3, episode 1 *2, first is a 54min episode and the 2nd a 1min episode(the sample) Movie example: Black.Gold.2011.LIMITED.1080p.BluRay.x264-AN0NYM0US/a-bg-1080p.mkv Black.Gold.2011.LIMITED.1080p.BluRay.x264-AN0NYM0US/Sample/a-bg-1080p-sample.mkv You will then get the Black Gold movie added as normal, but another "instance" of the movie "Sample People" pops up pointing to Black.Gold.2011.LIMITED.1080p.BluRay.x264-AN0NYM0US/Sample/a-bg-1080p-sample.mkv For movies this seems to be quite random when and when it doesn't happen. For TV it seems to be fairly consistent that this happens.
Luke 42085 Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Hi, this is resolved for the next release of emby server, thanks.
