Live TV playback issues MPEG2VIDEO Main codec

I having a lot of trouble direct playing any stream where emby uses the MPEG2VIDEO (Main) codec. If it changes to H264 then it plays with no issue. Ill put my logs below. What other info would you like?

Sm-g955u is my phone and Nvidia shield, and mibox are my Android TV devices. This happens on all 3 devices

Hi. Can you please explain exactly what happens?  What is "trouble playing"?

Keeps freezing every 5 to 10 secs when I try and direct play. If I lower the bitrate and it transcodes it plays fine but I'm direct playing to reduce strain on my computer. And it's only on that codec

It may not really have anything to do with the codec.  That could just be a correlation and this is something related to the channels involved.

 

In both examples you gave, the video is stream copied and the requested bitrate is the same.
