eddedrukker 7 Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Hello, after todays windows 10 update i got: Scan media library failed. Exception of type 'SQLitePCL.pretty.SQLiteException' was thrown. After restart server same problem? thankx server.txt
Luke 42085 Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Hi there, try installing the latest version of emby server from the website and reboot your system. If the issue persists then it sounds like your library database file has become corrupted and we'll help you rebuild it. thanks.
eddedrukker 7 Posted December 13, 2017 Author Posted December 13, 2017 hi ok, i did already stopped the server and copied the library.db to another folder and delete it in the data folder. than i did restart the server and did scan the library manualy. in the beginning it was fast but now it is slow scanning 73%. iS IT OK that it is so slow?
eddedrukker 7 Posted December 13, 2017 Author Posted December 13, 2017 Hmm i did what you said, i installed the latest server from the website, reboot still the same scan library failed. Can you help me to rebuid my library? thankx grtz ed
Luke 42085 Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Ok, the typical cause of this is a sudden termination of the emby server process, for example, a power loss, abruptly shutting down the machine, abruptly force closing the process, etc. shutdown the server, then rename this file: C:\Users\WHS\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\data\library.db Once you've started back up, you'll need to run a library scan. Thanks.
eddedrukker 7 Posted December 13, 2017 Author Posted December 13, 2017 ok thankx, i did it already now the scan has finisched but does this means that my resume points are gone now for movies and series? and my option to delete option in kodi is also gone. if i now want to delete a movie i don't get the option emby option were i can delete than? grtz ed
Luke 42085 Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Do you use the emby backup plugin? if yes then you can restore with that. If no, then your user data is stored in your old library.db file. Given that we believe it to be corrupted it is not guaranteed you'd be able to extract data from it.
eddedrukker 7 Posted December 13, 2017 Author Posted December 13, 2017 no i didnot use the emby backup plugin, i have a look at it, the resume data is no problem, but the other problem that i do not get the optionmenu in kodi when i hit C were i can delete a movie from the server. In the emby for kodi i have set itto enable so that i get the contex menu, but it doesn't work anymore? must i reinstal the emby for kodi plugin in kodi?
Luke 42085 Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Ok the kodi context menu will have nothing to do with the library database, so nothing to worry about here. To be honest, I'm not exactly sure what you're asking about the context menu, so once you're all set with the library scan I would suggest asking that question in the Kodi section of the community. Thanks !
eddedrukker 7 Posted December 13, 2017 Author Posted December 13, 2017 ok do that there than, thankx for the help grtz ed
Crestj 68 Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 @@Luke, just had this exact issue and it was resolved renaming the library.db. I did notice that the path for Emby Server has changed but you still refer to the old path (C:\Users\WHS\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\data\library.db) Mine reads ...\Roaming\Emby-Server\.... I assume this was a recent change?
