daniel.bmyer 11 Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 While I'm using the Shield TV with Emby, my question is a more generic one hence why I'm posting here. I have a few UHD Titles in my library as well as an extended title. For ex, The Martian: Extended Edition on UHD. I can't seem to get Emby to populate the right title. Plus the duration of the film shows up as the non extended. Just wondering if there's a way to get Emby to find the title or how I can edit the duration?
Happy2Play 9782 Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 I don't believe all clients have been updated with version selection. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/52635-32362-source-selection/ As for duration it is provided by ffprobe.
daniel.bmyer 11 Posted December 13, 2017 Author Posted December 13, 2017 (edited) That appears to be when you have multiple versions in your library. I have one movie which is the extended UHD version of The Martian. I'm still a little unclear if when scanning the library, it should recognize the version. Also when you say the duration is provided by ffprobe, is that something internal to Emby? I'm guessing so Edited December 13, 2017 by daniel.bmyer
daniel.bmyer 11 Posted December 13, 2017 Author Posted December 13, 2017 Ok nevermind. I rescanned my library and it seems to have done the trick and picked up the correct title and duration. I guess my library didn't rescan when I initially thought it did.
ebr 16185 Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 The key in your case is that the special version you have exist on tmdb. If it does, then you can identify it with that. That may be what changed (it got added to tmdb).
