Need Help With Server

I am new to this and signed up last Friday for Emby Premiere service. I have received my key and did the download and install to my windows computer but I am not able  to "connect to local host"

 

A blank window opens and then nothing happens. It just says "waiting for response from local host" I am not really sure that I want to be running a server anyway even if it does connect. Is this really necessary for me to use the other features?

 

Any help would be much appreciated.

Emby requires a server in order to stream your media.  It is not a streaming "service".
