if I enable this feature does Emby put the metadata and artwork in its own folder in the media folder example below

H:\Msc TV\TVshow\Season 1\metadata

H:\Msc Stuff\Msc Media\Msc TV\TVshow\Season 1\artwork

H:\Msc TV\TVshow\Season 1\Artwork

or does it scatter everything in H:\Msc TV\TVshow\Season 1 with the media with no folder organization

Pretty much the same question for the Roku thumbnail plugin  since it has an option to save thumbnails in media folder

Hope I explained it correctly :)

Thanks

Hi, it would be in the same folder and the image file names would match the video file names.

FYI the Roku thumbnails are in a single file for each video.

Thanks for the info I'll work with it... but if you have 30 media files in a folder that creates a lot of clutter  i have not learned yet how Emby handles media that you have deleted..when does it delete the metadata is there a setting in emby to make it clean stuff up or do you have to find it manually where ever its stored    stuff i'm still learning

You can set the option for the metadata files to be saved as hidden files, then you won't normally see them (unless you show hidden files all the time).

EMBY will only delete metadata if you have deleted the media file from within EMBY.

How soon after downloading internet metadata does Emby save metadata files in the media folders?

Last time I ran Emby server was more than a year ago and I seem to recall saving metadata was nearly immediate but now, it doesn't appear to be copying new nfo and artwork into the media folders.

Immediately. Did you enable the realtime monitor or run a library scan? When in doubt, please attach the emby server log corresponding to the timeframe of an example. You can learn how to do that here:

Thanks !
