minidoug 0 Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 I receive Live TV from Germany and UK where SDTV content are all in 576i or 576p. However unless the source is at least 720p, playback with Emby is at most at 480p. Is there a way to playback at full resolution? (I'm running Emby Version 3.2.40.0 on x64 Win7, with ServerWMC Plugin) thanks,
Luke 42083 Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 hi @@minidoug, the video OSD will limit your selections based on video information. What you can do though instead is go to the web app settings -> playback -> then set your quality level there instead of using the video player. Please let us know if this helps. thanks.
arrbee99 1817 Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Just wondering, kind of related - If I'm watching a DVD in ET desktop, it says its Direct Playing and stats for nerds says its playing at 720x576, it also gives a list under Quality that goes all the way from Auto - Direct down to 144p and up to 480 - 2Mbps only. If I'm watching 576i TV in ET desktop, it says its Direct Playing and stats for nerds says its playing at 720x576, it also gives a list under Quality that goes all the way from Auto - Direct down to 144p and up to 4K - 120 Mbps. Should it go this high (if it matters) ? If I look up a DVD in Emby web page it says, near the top for any DVD - Video: 480i MPEG2Video. Under Media Info it says - Resolution 720x576 but also Title 480i MPEG2VIDEO. Any reason for the difference ? If in post 1 Auto is selected it doesn't play at 576 anyway ? Sorry, not sure if there's much actual point to this post, but never mind.

Thanks Luke, In Web app settings -> Playback, 576 isn't one of the choices. It's 4K, then 1080p, 720p, 480p,..[in various bitrates]. I'm wondering if the list of these resolution is configurable somewhere so I can append 576p, or replace all instances of 480p with 576p.
